Chelsea’s right wing-back slot has been the subject of much debate this summer, with many feeling the reigning Premier League champions need to sign an upgrade on (or at the very least competition for) Victor Moses if they’re to retain the English title and make a mark in the Champions League.
Thus far this summer, suggested additions have been thin on the ground. But Mirror Football have just popped up with two in the form of Inter Milan wide-man Antonio Candreva and Arsenal’s contract rebel Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
At this time, Candreva is the more talented of the two. He’s made 47 appearances for the Italian national team and bagged an impressive six goals and ten assists in Serie A last season.
But the 27-cap international is seven years younger, English and showed enormous potential in the wing-back role last season – even excelling on the left flank during Arsenal’s FA Cup final win over the Blues.
So, Chelsea fans, which player do you think Antonio Conte should swoop for in a bid to bolster his right wing-back options? Let us know by voting below…
