Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay might be available on loan in the January transfer window, and Leeds United should attempt to sign the 21-year-old.
What’s the word, then?
Leeds have made a very strong start to the 2018-19 Championship season, with a total of 14 points from six matches leaving them top of the division.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have beaten Stoke City, Derby County, Rotherham United and Norwich City, in addition to picking up draws with Swansea City and Middlesbrough.
The Whites are considered to be one of the favourites for the Championship title this season, and that is not a surprise due to their early-season form.
Bielsa will be looking to improve his squad at the start of 2019, however, and should attempt to sign McTominay on loan from United.
The all-action midfielder has struggled for action in the early stages of this season, and Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho might be tempted to loan him out in the winter.
Why should Leeds sign McTominay?
McTominay certainly benefitted from injuries to Paul Pogba, Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini last season, and he looked at home in each of his four Champions League appearances, which is some going for a player of limited experience.
In total, the midfielder has made 26 first-team appearances for United, and appeared off the bench in their Premier League opener with Leicester City last month.

McTominay was on the bench for the clashes with Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur, however, and was not involved in the squad that took on Burnley last time out.
Samuel Saiz and Mateusz Klich have both impressed in the Leeds midfield this season, and McTominay is certainly capable of complementing the pair at Elland Road.
Leeds were linked with a move for the midfielder in the latter stages of 2017, and should make a strong play when the January transfer window opens for business.
