The winger has no desire to leave United in the January transfer window despite talk of a possible loan move to the second tier, reports. There have been talks with Erik ten Hag over the 21-year-old's future and he has confirmed he would rather stay at Old Trafford.

Amad, however, has no intention of joining the club as he wants to show respect to Sunderland, where he spent last season on loan. He reacted to links to Birmingham recently, telling an outlet to 'stop lying'.

However, he returned to make his first appearance of the season by coming off the bench in the second half of the 2-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest on December 30. He was then left out of the 2-2 draw against Tottenham last week.
