Pulisic upset El Salvador player over request refusalMilan forward was 'angry' despite winUSMNT have Copa America on horizonWHAT HAPPENED?
El Salvador's Leonardo Menjiar revealed that after the USMNT's 1-0 victory in March against the nation, he asked Pulisic to swap shirts but was denied by the AC Milan forward. The midfielder said that the captain seemed 'angry' despite their victory, and that a language barrier may have also played a part in him not understanding the scenario.

He told : “I wanted to change shirts with Pulisic, but he didn't want to give it to me, he was angry even though they had won. I spoke to him and pulled his shirt, I told him: 'If we could exchange shirts'. I don't know if he understood me because I spoke to him in Spanish, I pointed to the shirt, but he acted like he didn't want to."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Pulisic and the USMNT won the match courtesy of a 62nd minute Ricardo Pepi goal, and thereby advanced in the CONCACAF Nations League – which they eventually won in the summer with a 2-0 victory over Canada. Now, they're on track to do so again as they come up against Jamaica in the semifinal again in Mach next year. Also on the horizon is the 2024 Copa America – where the U.S. will take on Uruguay, Bolivia and Panama.

Pulisic returns to the pitch this Saturday for Milan when they take on Sassuolo in Serie A action. The
USMNT will next take on Slovenia on January 20, but the January camp is not a registered FIFA window, so it's unlikely that the Milan star will join Gregg Berhalter's group.
