Captain Phil Neville has dismissed suggestions that some Everton fans were beginning to turn on manager David Moyes before Saturday's first Premier League win of the season.
At the seventh time of asking, the Toffees finally picked up their first three-point haul of the season when they won 2-0 at Birmingham City.
But despite reports that Moyes was coming under pressure eight years into his Goodison Park reign, Neville claims he never sensed disquiet on the terraces.
"I've not felt that at all," he told the Liverpool Post."It's been difficult because you speak to anyone and they say Everton have the best squad in years.
"We've said it, the manager has said it. We're playing good football, but we're at the bottom of the league. To be fair to the manager, you can say he's fiery, but he hasn't lost his calmness under pressure.
"He's now got a wealth of experience so that, in situations like this, he knows the form is round the corner."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
