Reported Liverpool transfer target Jorginho impressed for Italy in their 1-1 friendly draw with England at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday night, and Reds fans have urged their club to sign the 5ft 11in Napoli pass-master this summer.
The Mirror reported on March 22 that the Merseyside outfit want the £50m-rated 26-year-old as a potential replacement for contract rebel Emre Can, and he started alongside Lorenzo Pellegrini and Marco Parolo in a three-man midfield against the Three Lions, impressing with the quality of his passing.
According to WhoScored.com, it is main strength and he has a pass accuracy of 89.1% in 29 appearances in Serie A and in European competition for the Serie A giants this season.
Liverpool fans, who also want Netherlands starlet Matthijs de Ligt to arrive at Anfield, were quick to have their say on the Brazilian-born player’s display via social media, and while one said “he’d be the perfect signing for Liverpool”, another said “he reminds me of Xavi and Busquets”.
