Leeds United are interested in signing Amiens forward Moussa Konate according to French news outlet L’Équipe.
What’s the story?
The 25-year-old has only played for Ligue 1 side Amiens for a year but had an impressive spell for the French club, scoring 13 goals in 33 league games.
The Senegal international is now a reported transfer target for Leeds United and Brentford, and the pacy striker who featured at this summer’s World Cup, is valued at £5.4million on Transfermarkt.

Is it necessary?
With Leeds having just spent a decent sum to bring Middlesbrough striker Patrick Bamford to Elland Road and with Kemar Roofe putting in a fine performance against Stoke in the opening game of the season, should Leeds really be spending their limited resources on another striker?
A new centre-back must be the priority with little cover for Pontus Jansson and Liam Cooper, and a creative outlet in midfield wouldn’t go amiss.
If Bielsa could bring in a striker on loan that would provide sufficient cover, but it’s not worth bringing in another expensive star when there are other positions that need prior focus.
